ariel has always seen a life for her beyond the ocean. ever since she was little she was curious about the world above; why couldn't humans born without gills? what did they do on land? what kind of stories would they tell? and even more endless questions plagued her mind. she knows humans were why her mother was dead and that brought her great sadness. but were all humans really that way? she knew a few mermaids who got under her skin, but she knew all mermaids weren't like that. so couldn't the same be said for humans? her curious nature was stronger than anything.

being the youngest of seven came with a lot of positives and negatives. she loved her sisters more than anything and they were always there for her, but at the same time she was constantly babied because she was considered the baby of the family. she knew she could be naive at times, but there was so much she knew she was capable of.

ariel's time was either consumed with music lessons, being around her best friend fletcher, or pursuing her hobby. what was her hobby? scavenging for human artifacts. she had an entire collection of tokens she had found over the years and the more she discovered, the more questions she had. such beautiful things were created by the humans...so how could they be as bad as everyone told her they were?

everything changed the day she met him. she had been watching a ship from afar; they were celebrating and looking like they were having the most wonderful time. there was a boy amongst the crew that had her heart doing backflips. before she could really get a closer look, tragedy had taken over. the ship was in flames and everything was sinking below. she hadn't even thought when she saved that sailor. her instincts told her it was the right thing to do. she had made sure his eyes had just started to open on the shore before she ran and she wished every day since that she could see him again.

it was that very sailor that made her decide she was meant to be on land. she had felt a connection she could not put into words but it consumed her very being. she knew she had to see him, be with him, and abandon her home for a greater purpose. she knew it was a little crazy but she didn't care; the moment she figured out a way to seek this sailor out, she took it.

ursula was a cunning sea witch that whispered all the right words to her. she didn't even second guess signing her voice, her most precious part of herself, away in exchange for feet and something more. the terms were clear and she felt in her heart that she was making the right choice for herself.

the best way to describe what walking felt like for ariel was like watching a baby take its first steps. she felt off-balance, each step felt fragile and new, but it was an amazing feeling. she practiced and practiced until it felt good enough to be passable, but she does still lose her footing easily from time to time. she wants to walk everywhere! even when her feet start to ache.

the first time she had ever tried to take a bath in the little bathroom that was apart of her new home, she learned then and there that it was a good thing that humans didn't walk in on people when they were in there! her tail grew back and a sinking feeling overtook her. when she managed to claw her way out of her tub-like prison and dried up, her legs were back and she knew she had to be more careful. evermore was a strange place indeed but she didn't think it would take too kindly to her people. she didn't really have any supporting facts that would make her feel otherwise.

she had to admit, humans were very confusing. not only because of the way they treated others, but because of the way they talked, the way they had so many trinkets, and just...it was all so much to learn! luckily for ariel there are more than a few kind humans in town and a library full of things to learn about. her reading is not the strongest, but she's determined to learn all she can! sure, sometimes she uses forks for her hair and some things feel foreign to the touch...but she's learning, she's growing!

the day she saw her sailor again it took everything in her not to run to his side and scream she was the one who saved him. it didn't take long for her to fumble her words around the man and find out that he didn't recognize her...or that time. she thought humming the song she had sang to him to wake him up would help but...nothing. still, she isn't going to give up! she has so much time to get to know him, the real him, and the connection she felt around him was still there. so that had to meant she was doing the right thing!

ariel tried to get a job once she learned what those were. the only problem was she had either no qualifications to get her anything or she was just really bad at the job given. she's the type of person that needs a few tries before she gets it right and apparently jobs did not have the time for that. so she makes her money by singing and playing instruments downtown with a little hat people can drop change into. (money itself was a strange concept to learn; how silly it was that humans exchanged pieces of paper and small coins of different values)! her singing voice was always beloved in the ocean and she was lucky she had it now. luckily for her music is as important in the ocean as it is on land and thanks to her instructor she has plenty of instruments mastered.

of course she misses her home sometimes. the ocean calls to her just as much as the land does. she hates that she had to choose but she is too far in to change her mind now. she thinks about her father and sisters all the time and wishes she could share this experience with them. the closest place that feels like home to her is the aquarium. every now and then she'll go there and whisper her fears and aches of home. she wonders if the sea life there misses their home too.

her room is a mess. like almost hard to walk in kind of situation. she thinks everything is important so she doesn't really throw things out and the collection of trinkets make her feel like she is back home in her little corner of the sea. even though it is chaotic to look at, she has her own way of organizing things and to her it is all arranged in a very complex system.

sometimes she has nightmares of running out of time on her quest. of losing her voice and being forced back into the ocean where she could never share anything to anyone ever again. the very idea of not being able to use her voice terrifies her, so she's been practicing her handwriting so that she had some kind of backup. she's still looking into other ways to communicate efficiently...just in case.

she has a really fun habit of misplacing things. she's sure she'd lose her own head sometimes if it wasn't attached to her! one second she has her bag right next to her and then she's daydreaming, talking, etc. and it's gone! luckily she hasn't lost anything too important yet.

even though she isn't even human, she tries her best to steer clear of anything that feels downright magical without doing her own research. her deal with ursula gives her enough anxiety; she's afraid of stumbling into another situation that could cost even more of her.

in regards to literally anything else though she has a knack for getting herself into unique situations. part of that is due to her lack of social cues, the fact that she takes each new person in with slight naivety, and the urge to experience as many new things as possible. she is learning that the most human thing in the world is making constant mistakes and learning from them.

“Eat some fruit, honey.” Your grandmother said before you even sat down at the table.

“I’m going to eat Grandma.” You let go automatically as you played with the cereal box.

“Do you have plans for today?”

You denied as you took a generous spoonful of cereal to your mouth.

“Keep me company tonight. I want to crochet a dress for you.” His grandmother said with a mischievous smile. “I'm sure the boy will like it.”

“What boy, Grandma?” You asked choking on the cereal flakes. His grandmother laughed at his reaction.

“I was young once, my dear. I would also sneak out at night to meet your grandfather on the beach.” She let out a passionate sigh. “It was during one of these meetings that we conceived your mother.”

"Disgusting!" You exclaimed with a look of disgust, but you loved your grandmother's lack of filter. “There are no boys. I just like walking on the beach at night.”

“I’m going to pretend I believe in You.” His grandmother narrowed her eyes. “When you’re ready, bring him here. I would like to meet you and I will bake a cake to welcome you. Meanwhile be here at night; I want to give you the dress and train my skills.”

You can't help but smile at your sweet grandmother's antics. You and her were so similar, even though your mother disagreed, the connection between You was strong and beautiful. You loved sitting on her lap to be caressed with her gentle hands and listening to old songs and legends. Her grandmother was a sweet balm in her summer days to wait until the night where she would meet her secret friend.

The day passed quickly; You helped your grandmother with the housework, went into town to buy groceries and when the sun went down you were standing in the living room while your grandmother took your measurements for the crochet dress.

“You’re so skinny.” Her grandmother exclaimed wrapping the ribbon around her waist. “Your lover won’t like seeing you so thin, men like flesh to squeeze.”

“Grandma…” You said whimpering.” ... there is no lover and I'm not that thin so I always gain weight when I'm with you.”

“I’m not doing a good job then.” Her grandmother walked around her body and measured her legs. “I’ll add more to your plate.”

“If you make cakes, I promise to eat them until I explode.” You said with great humor.

“You are just like your grandfather. He also loved my cakes, if I let him he would eat them whole.”

A curiosity arose in his mind about his grandfather. He had died when his mother was young, left his grandmother a small fortune from years of fishing and liked to eat sweets. It was like a shadow in her life; he was always there, but You knew so little about him.

“How did you and Grandpa meet?” You questioned your grandmother.

Your grandmother stopped measuring your body and stood in front of You, with an emotional look.

“At a young age, he and his family moved to the city in search of new opportunities, they had come from a small village on the Yucatán peninsula in Mexico looking for a better lifestyle. I met him while fishing with your father, he reminds me of thinking he was the most beautiful man in the world.” Her grandmother paused and sighed. “It was a beautiful romance, so beautiful. We often escaped to date under the stars. We got married quickly, your mother came soon after to complete our happiness.”

“That’s beautiful grandma.” You said with tears in your eyes.

“He told me the history of his people.” His grandmother continued. “My favorite was the story of the feathered serpent. His grandfather gave him a funny name that was a bit difficult to pronounce. Ku..ku..can... K'uk'ulkan. Yes, that's the name; K’uk’ulkan.”

“K'uk'ulkan” You pronounced, feeling the sweet touch on your tongue.

“Your grandfather said that in his village his neighbors told the story of a man with wings on his feet walking on the beach. They said it was K'uk'ulkan, the serpent of the west.”

A light came into his mind when his grandmother mentioned the man with wings on his ankles.

“Could you tell me more?” You asked hopefully, but your grandmother made a funny sound out of her mouth.

“I’m sorry, my dear. I remember very little about your grandfather’s stories, my mind is no longer the same.” His grandmother took out a box of balls of yarn. “Under my bed are some of your grandfather’s old books and diaries. If the rats haven't ruined everything, it will be a good read for you to learn about your ancestral culture.”

“Thank you, Grandma.” You said calmly, but inside you exuded eagerness to find out more about the feathered serpent.

Your grandmother gave you the box containing your grandfather's old books and you spent the entire morning leafing through the dusty books; some of them were old diaries with the sloppy handwriting of a dreamy boy. His grandfather had written about the difficulties faced by his family before migrating to another country in search of new opportunities, how fishing made them prosper quickly and how his grandmother was the light of his life. You giggled at the passionate words bordering on eroticism used by your grandfather to describe his beloved.

Among the leaves, you found an old photo of your grandparents and your mother as a baby sitting on a picnic on the beach, and you couldn't stop laughing when you saw your mother as a chubby and cute baby with her hands full of sand. You left the lake diary and grabbed a large book with a red cover and gold letters.

The book narrated the history of the Mesoamerican people. In your research you discovered how natives had been driven from their corn farms by Spanish colonizers, how the culture was massacred by the white man, and how years of slavery and imperialism had left a nation so wounded and broken. Chills ran down your spine as you read the atrocities committed.

His fingers flipped through the thick sheets when something caught his attention. A specific symbol similar to the one carved on the shell that Namor took from You many years ago, the symbols were the same. One of the designs carved into the smooth bark was identical to the design on the thick sheet. The green-painted serpent had the same appearance as Quetzalcóatl, a deity with the appearance of a feathered serpent worshiped in Teotihuacan. At that moment, you created a huge obsession with that coincidence and started researching everything you could about divinity.

Quetzalcóatl was the Aztec god of wind, air and learning, and wears around his neck the so-called ''wind breastplate'' made from a shell similar to the one taken from You. Another detail that caught his attention was discovering that the name in the Mayan version for this god was K'uk'ulkan, the feathered serpent who arrived in Yucatán by sea from the west and founded its civilization.

You reflected on the coincidence between the conch and Namor, and how they both seemed to be intertwined with this long-lost culture. You put down the red book and went back to leafing through your grandfather's old diaries trying to find some account about the man with wings on his ankle. To his great misfortune, there was only a tiny report written in just over six lines where his grandfather, at the age of ten, claimed to have seen the figure of a man with wings on his ankle walking calmly on the sand. The rest of the story was faded with stains caused by age and excess dust.

You searched the internet for more information and found a dubious-looking website narrating a local community's legend about a man-shaped entity with pointy ears and wings on its ankles that walks along the beach after sunset. There were photos of some people leaving baskets of fruit on the sand as an offering to this entity and a blurry, poor quality photo of a male figure near the water. Maybe it was sleep or madness, but you can recognize Namor in that photo even with the poor quality. The wings, the jewelry and even the damn shorts were there.

You reflected on Namor's suspicious nature and reluctance to tell you what he was about. He could be like Thor, the Norse God coming from space to fight with his fellow humans, but that seemed unlikely since Namor came from the ocean. The irritation grew even more for knowing so little about a person who had been by his side for so many years. With a long sigh of tiredness you laid your head on top of the books, closing your eyes a little, your tiredness was too much, before you knew it you were sleeping soundly. Dreams visited him that night.

“You were in a place that seemed to be a cave, the place had a bluish light and it was cold, very cold. Your steps were firm, you seemed to recognize the territory, or at least know where you were going.

After a while of walking quickly, she realized that she was doing so not out of experience, but out of fear. She looked back when she heard a slurred laugh. A pair of onyx eyes stared at him with amusement. You quickened your pace, and then started running.

She looked back again, fearing she would be chased. And it was. Namor looked calmly, with a predatory smile on his lips as if he knew what his ending would be, his dark orbs stared intensely at each part of her body. You came face to face with a wall. There was no longer any escape. You closed your eyes and prayed.

You felt his heat, getting closer and closer. You refused to open your eyes, refused to look at him. Pressing yourself against the wall, you waited. Maybe he would torture her and kill her, or, he would be merciful and just kill her. You felt him laugh and had the audacity to open your eyes and look at him.

He wore different clothes; a white loincloth, gold shoulder pads in the shape of a snake and piles of jewels that adorned her arms and ankles. In short steps without looking away from yours he got closer and closer, he extended his hand to you, you closed your eyes and waited. His hand rested on a face wet with tears, his touch was warm.

He brought his lips to your ear, goosebumps ran through your entire body. You felt him take a deep breath like a wild animal smelling its prey before devouring it."

A/N: I only used Tanjiro and Muichiro for this since my KNY brainpower has been running on fumes lately. Thanks for the request!

The beach was something new for the corps. No one was used to it. However, time off allowed them all to not fight for their lives for once. Everyone had been doing their own thing but Tanjiro and Muichiro were the only ones ankle deep in the water, shivering as the cold water creeped up their ankles.

“Cold! Cold!” Muichiro yelped, tensing up as he walked further into the water.

“It is quite cold!” Tanjiro agreed, gasping as a wave hit him and knocked him over.

Muichiro squeaked as he also got knocked over, shivering as he resurfaced. Now fully submerged, there was no going back. Both boys submerged themselves in the water, surfacing and feeling less cold the longer they swam about.

Five minutes into swimming around and they were comfortable, jumping as high as they could in chest deep water as the waves crashed into them. After a few minutes, Muichiro looked back towards the beach where the others were all hanging out.

“Muichiro kun!” Tanjiro gasped, making Muichiro startle and whip around to face him.

“What? What?” he asked, looking around.

“Are you blushing?” Tanjiro asked, pointing at Muichiro’s cheeks.

“No! I’m not!!” Muichiro argued, coughing to try and ward off Tanjiro’s sudden interest in his cheeks. “I might be getting sick…”

“Aw! You are blushing! So who are you looking at?” Tanjiro pressed, smirking.

“No one! I’m looking at no one!!” Muichiro cried, realizing his blushing probably isn’t helping the situation.

“Zenitsu?”

“No! I’d never blush at him!”

“Inosuke?”

“No way…why…ugh! Nevermind! EEP!!”

Tanjiro giggled and squeezed Muichiro’s sides. He had been very aware of Muichiro’s newly discovered weakness. Deciding this was his chance to get his answer, he squeezed just below Muichiro’s ribs, making the poor teen shriek and laugh, splashing around in an attempt to escape.

“Who are you blushing at?” Tanjiro continued, hoping Muichiro will give him an answer soon. “Come on, you’re blushing at someone on the beach!”

“Nohoho one! Ihihi’m blushing at no one!! Tahahanjiro!!” Muichiro giggled, flailing like a literal fish out of water. “Ihihi’m not blushing ahahat anyone!! Ahahaaa!! Gehehet away!!”

“Come on! Tell me! Tell me!!” Tanjiro exclaimed, continuing to tickle Muichiro. “I’m gonna keep pestering you unless you tell me!”

“Noohoho!! I’m not gonna!” the Mist Hashira screamed in defiance. “Ihihi’m not blushing at ahahanyone! I swehehear!!”

Muichiro and Tanjiro both yelled in shock when a wave hit them both from behind. Tanjiro was knocked over, Muichiro taking the opportunity to slip away, swimming as far as he could to get away from his attacker. His friend however was much quicker and caught him before he could reach the sand.

“What are they doing?” Zenitsu asked, pointing at the two, Muichiro’s yell grabbing the group’s attention.

“Don’t know.” Kanao added. “Looks like they’re having fun.”

“Maybe they’re drowning?” Genya suggested, noticing how Muichiro frantically flailed about when Tanjiro grabbed him. “In that case…we might need to save them before pork chops over here decides to jump at the opportunity to actually drown them.”

Much to Genya, Zenitsu and Kanao’s horror, Inosuke tackled Muichiro and Tanjiro before they reached them. It looks like Tanjiro never got his answer.

Vengeance Saga 🌊🔱 Could Be Improved (Mostly about Calypso though)

*Spoilers of course

This is a discussion about mainly Calypso and some changes I like to see. So, this is a totally brief explanation for what can be done to improve the songs to be the best they can be.

Also Calixyn Cares Too Much is an informative but not authoritative resource on musical theatere and mainly songwriting. I recommend checking out her Vengeance Saga review.

My Thoughts:

The two first songs of Vengeance could use some work because right now "Not Sorry for Loving You" and "Dangerous" are a little vague, and don't have too much information to chew on. Especially with Calypso given the source material so being clear what happened those 7 years would be nice, because the fandom is understandably split on her.

For instance reviving the cut song "Appetite" would be nice. Also "Cope With That" because Odysseus being in the middle of choosing ruthlessness and open arms isn't much we see. He's often going to extremes with such ideologies. The Sirens, and the Cyclops for example. Circe Saga was when he was being pretty normal even after most of his men died, which is interesting he didn't immediately use ruthlessness with Circe after that event. He acted rather politely when meeting her. Anyway NSLY (Not Sorry for Loving You) has the "There Are Other Ways" motif but Odysseus doesn't use any of Circe's teachings.

Circe didn't really influence Odysseus like the Cyclops, Poseidon, and Polites did. He learned the consequence for being too kind from Polites which results in him sparing Polyphemus and giving his home address. Being too ruthless with the Sirens by throwing their bodies in the water when they could've been used to feed Scylla. And Poseidon is his ultimate consequence and the monster he could become. But Circe doesn't really teach him anything that he uses down the line. Odysseus utilizing persuasion to trick Calypso would've made the most sense and made Circe feel like an actual impact on his journey. Sure she helped him get to the Underworld but that's about it. Also strange Odysseus talks about becoming a monster when he just showed mercy to Circe and that worked in their favor. I guess he's just traumatized from seeing his dead comrades/friends and mom so sure I guess. It's a little odd Circe isn't that important in the grand scheme of things similarly to Calypso. And I wish Calypso had a conclusion. Because it's crazy how Odysseus dipped and his last words to her were-

"I love you

But not in the way

That you want me to"

I know he got places to be but still 😅

Just Ody and Calypso having a split amount of time to sing about their time together, and how they got closer. Because in "Love in Paradise" Odysseus wanted nothing to do with her, but in Vengeance Saga they seem to be on good terms. Odysseus sounds genuine when he says "I love you". Ody lying by using Circe's tactics would be interesting and was planned with the cut song "Appetite" but they scrapped it but still kept the "The Are Other Ways" instrumental. A flashback of the two reminiscing about their time together would've benefitted NSLY and made it clear that Calypso being a SA abuser is non-canon. Because at first I was conflicted on her because I didn't know if what she did was canon to Epic or not. Now I know she's just clingy and a little freaky (which makes sense, she's been on Ogygia for 100 years) but information like that or lack there of can confuse people.

Just give them a flashback scene and we eliminate the Calypso being an abuser issue and give valuable insight on both Odysseus and Calypso lives together. Because her and the island are kind of a blip on Odysseus's journey which is crazy considering the 7 years he spent there. But because we don't know much what happened Calypso being heartbroken is more pitty than actually sad for the viewer. Like I hardly know this girl, and don't know what exactly she did to Ody. Because also in "Love in Paradise" she says-

"Under my spell, we're stuck in paradise

No one can come or go, my island stays unknown"

Like I think people who step onto the island can never leave or the place is just too hard to find. But what does "Under my spell, we're stuck in paradise" mean? Like I think this is why people can't tell if the SA is canon or not, because it could be interrupted that Calypso brainwashes people. Or maybe she creates a blissful illusion/dream, which can be either good or bad since she "brings no pain". But is this something you want your audience to make interpretations and assumptions about, especially if the team wants us to sympathize with her in NSLY.

Again this should be made clear that Calypso was just being patient with Odysseus's decision. I think that's pretty impactful and would be interesting to delve into. A few lines of Calypso counting the days and waiting for Odysseus to "finally" love her. Maybe she watches him walk along the shore line and sings "🎵Waaaiting🎶" like in "Full Speed Ahead" and "The Underworld". and then Odysseus sings that part but of course he's waiting for a sign or help to arrive so he can get home. Idk I'm not a songwriter just an aspiring one lol

Because right now Calypso takes up so much of the song when it should have been 50/50. I won't say much on "Dangerous" because it's pretty similar. Hermes talks a lot when we could've had a few more lines for Ody. Also explain how Hermes got the wind bag? How did he convince Aeolus? Did Aeolus catch wind of "God Games" and was instructed to give Hermes the wind bag? Did the Winions help Hermes or are they just following him to make sure nothing bad happens?

Again the songs aren't bad, not by a long shot. They just need some improvements is all. I love this show but I can't be biased just because the music sounds good or there's actually a hidden meaning & a ton of lore if you keep digging! Nothing wrong with overanalyzing the lore or characters at all, that sounds super fun! But people should be critical otherwise the things they love won't improve.

Introduction

The Hashira had just received an invitation to the annual Al-Asim Christmas Party! All of them were excited, but one in particular was even more so because that would mean they get to see their beloved Y/N.

They are very happy that they get to celebrate with you and your family when they and the others receive the invitation. They go to check if it’s okay with Ubuyashiki only to find out that he was invited as well. They’re super excited now.

Once they arrive at your residence, they are led to the living room by one of the many servants. There, they are met with you and your signature beaming smile. You hugged each of the others before giving your lover a kiss on the cheek and led them to the couches.

Gyomei Himejima

Then one of the servants announces that dinner is ready and that your siblings will be down to join you. Of course, Gyomei knew that you had a lot of siblings, so he wasn’t surprised when he heard a bunch of footsteps rushing to the dining room.

The food was really good. You fixed his plate for him for obvious reasons. Plus, you knew the kind of things he likes to eat, so it really was not a problem for you. He said a quick prayer before he began to eat and he was not disappointed. Mans probably didn’t know your food was tested because he’s blind.

When he pulled the tissue paper out of the bag, he felt around until he felt a bag. He tried to open it but eventually handed it to you, asking you to help him. You let out a tiny giggle before opening the bag and putting the necklace into his hands. He knew what it was almost immediately because he had one around his neck.

The waterworks started working the water and he started crying out of happiness and gratitude. He would pull you into his lap and hug the living daylights out of you because he’s just so happy and grateful that he has someone like you in his life.

Mitsuri Kanroji

Mitsuri greeted each and everyone of your siblings because she probably already knew all of them. They see her as an older sister figure (and she will be if you both get married). They’re all excited when they see her, and it’s so adorable.

She deems the food as exemplary and jumps in head-first into dessert. You even did that cute couple thing where you feed each other and clean off each other’s faces with napkins. Everyone let out a collective awww at the displays of affection. She was a bit concerned when one of the waiters put a silver hairpin in your soup to test it, though.

When she pulled the tissue paper out of the bag, she saw that there was a very cute package. She carefully opened it and saw that it was some new hair clips! She was so excited. It grew even more when one of the servants came out with a pink and green kimono as well as a plate of sakura mochi.

She literally tackled you into a hug and squealed a very excited ‘thank you’ while she littered your face with a bunch of kisses. She rushed out of the room and went to put on the new clothes she got and arrange the hairpins in her hair.

Giyu Tomioka

He would most likely just hold his inexpressive face as he awkwardly waves to your many many many siblings. Of course, they all go up and hug the ever loving crap out of him because you all are just a bunch of huggers. 

He probably has a good portion of food on his plate. He knows dessert is coming soon, so he eats good sizes so that he won’t get a stomach ache from overeating (wouldn’t be me). Was obviously a little shocked when he saw a waiter sticking a silver chopstick in your food and checking it after.

He quickly turns to you and pulls you into a hug with silent tears streaming down his face. You quickly grew worried and tried to tell him that if he didn’t like it, then you’d get him something else. He shushed you by pulling you into a kiss. Unfortunately, Tengen saw and pulled out some mistletoe to put over the both of you. That pic went into the book.

Tengen Uzui

He’s definitely the type to have the kids hang off his arms as he flexes his muscles to impress you. His wives are leading the younger ones to the table as well. You were so happy that your siblings didn’t judge the fact that he was already married to 3 women.

Describes the food as flamboyant. He is a big man, and he needs to support his build by eating a lot. The 5 of you totally do the ‘feeding each other’ thing and joke around with the ‘here comes the choo-choo train!’

After dinner, you led everyone back to the living room where a bunch of gifts were waiting for everyone. You also hand out Hinatsuru, Makio, and Suma’s gifts.

As each of them take out the tissue paper in their bags, each let out a collective gasp when they see what’s inside. Tengen pulls out a few jeweled headbands, and the girls pull out… nothing? Then 3 servants are in front of them with silk kimonos. They each squeal in excitement… Except for Tengen. He smiles.

The girls rush over to hug you and Tengen comes and scoops you all into his arms. There was a collective feeling of warmth in all of your hearts. You couldn’t ask for a better future family than the one you will have with them.

Sanemi Shinazugawa 

He himself has a little brother who he secretly still cares for because ✨family✨. He has a soft spot for these little punks. He’s the kind of guy to tell them really cool stories about the many different scars he has. It’s so endearing to watch.

I know this man eats a lot as well. However, he definitely ends up overeating and curses like a sailor when he suffers through indigestion later. You have the time of your life just laughing your butt off when he’s complaining and groaning about the pain.

He tears off the wrapping paper on the huge box and sees that it’s a new tank that was filled with a bunch of decorations. He realized that you remembered he had kept a rhinoceros beetle as a pet. He had a grin on his face.

Then he noticed that one of the losers Tengen decided that he was gonna get real cocky and hang some mistletoe over the two of you. You were immediately blushing, but he pulled you in by your waist and into a kiss.

Shinobu Kocho

She has family of her own (RIP to Kanae 🫡😪. Fly high 🕊️), so she understands the whole being-close-with-your-siblings. In fact, the youngest tend to like her the most because she’s so calm and gentle to them.

She’s a medical professional, and that shows on her plate. She’s got a balance between food groups. She's the person who needs to have their food separated at all times. I said it. She, however, totally would take some of her food and smear it on your cheek.

She totally pulled you into a hug while thanking you profusely. She would go on a few different tangents about the different properties of each plant as if you weren’t taught it since you were little. Coming from a line of merchants, you kinda had to know this.

 Rengoku Kyojuro

Like Tengen, would be the type to let the kids dangle off his arms to flex how strong he is. You, along with your siblings, were all laughing so hard. He would tell stories about his recent demon slaying journeys to further impress them and you.

Plate is stacked with proteins because it’s good for the muscles (read: mus-kles) 💪. Is the type to do the whole this turkey is most exquisite. However did you manage to roast it to the perfect golden-brown color thing and it’s the most hilarious thing you’ve seen.

Then he pulled away and started talking to the others. He would cheer on the littles as they celebrated what they got as presents. If that isn’t husband material, I don’t know what is.

Obanai Iguro

Kaburamaru would have a great time with them. He’d gently wrap his tail around the hand of the youngest walking child and would lead them to the dining room. You held his hand as you walked together. You knew that he was probably uncomfortable and you would be eating in a separate room with you.

He doesn’t eat a lot, but the food was just so good. He was more comfortable taking off his bandages around you and his slithery companion. You would talk about whatever came to mind. He found your smile so beautiful whenever he told you about a sarcastic remark he made once.

After dinner, you whip out his present. You figured that he still wouldn’t be comfortable in such a social setting so you decided that a private setting was much more appropriate. He considered himself a super lucky guy because you’re just so considerate.

He starts to take out the tissue paper when he notices 2 small boxes. One was a box of dead mice for Kaburamaru, who was exceedingly happy about this, and a box of bandages. More specifically, bandages with little cartoonish snakes on them.

He nodded his head as a silent thank you. You helped rewrap him in the new bandages while also giving one of the mice to Kaburamaru. Eventually, he was all covered and you both went back out to show off his new look.

Muichiro Tokito

Staring off into space, no thoughts running through. Just head empty. He does a subconscious wave to your siblings, Other than that, nothing. Not even a verbal greeting of any sort. What’d you expect, really?

He absolutely loves the food. I mean, it was just so good that it snapped him out of the trance he’s always in. He felt his sound ascending to the heavens. He’s paying attention to every word coming out of your mouth as he’s wolfing down food.

5. Sanpala: the sea religion

Oh man, I have SO much I can say about this one. I'll keep it to a minimum though!

The followers of Sanpala believe that water is the greatest source of Heiros and abide by the saying "reishi merath siresh". This translates to “all (every) water forgives”.

The motto is part of the reason why so many sailors are attracted to this religion (other than their general love of the sea). Most of them have been cast out by society and it reassures the belief that they belong somewhere – there is something that doesn’t give a damn what they did, unlike the harshness of Heirosa.

It’s possible that they were the ones who actually started this saying, as the original sailors were all criminals. They could have coined the phrase as a way of forgiving themselves (and each other) of their sins.

They don’t have a sacred text, as the religion is primarily passed through word-of-mouth between those at sea. They are less strict about what makes someone a "true" follower - as long as you respect the sea and its inhabitants.

Many believe in the existence of a god named Tura, a giant tentacled being that lives in the deepest parts of the sea. Some even claim to have seen him, though without proof these stories are brushed off as just that - stories.

Unlike those that follow Heirosa, all Sanpavir are buried at sea and believe that they will be reincarnated as a part of it. Whether that be as part of the sea itself or as a sea creature, or even a plant.

10. Liheros (Sonharian mermaids)

I've talked a little about the here but here's some more stuff!

Liheros are arguably the most dangerous beings in Sonhara, if you get on their bad side. But if you are in favour with one of them, you have a very powerful ally.

They have a historical feud with the gishars, dating back centuries, though they generally refuse to talk about it and will get very angry if you bring it up unprompted.

Whilst gishars rule the lands, you could say that the liheros rule the sea. They don't usually have leaders, with the exception of those that live in and around Jurin, which is ruled by Erozah Malior (from the 1980s onwards).

Even the humans of Jurin would rather turn against the gishars than turn against Erozah, as he has done far more for their town than anyone else. If you manage to piss off Erozah, it's in your best interest to never step foot in Jurin again, or he might eat you. Literally.

The Jurinian liheros have a bit of a reputation for scamming people (though that's just what all Jurin locals do), which they've fully leaned into by offering "scam insurance" to newcomers. You pay them a fee up front and they'll spread the word to other Jurinians so you "don't get scammed". It's surprising how many people actually buy into this lol

So I just got into Indigo Park, and now writing a fic :D

So many theories I want to talk about and my predictions of chapter 2.

The title for the new chapter I came up with is:

Into the Deep Blue Secrets 🐉🌊

(may be a differant title, but hey, who knows?)

Predictions of chapter 2 :

While exploring Oceanic Odyssey, the player noticed that there're puddles, glass cracks, and stuff that may of been old. The goal might be where Ed has to get out of Oceanic Odyssey because the place was about to fall apart, and the mass amount of water will drown the player.

There, an epic battle emerges from the shadows as the mascot version of Finley takes the advantage. As for Rambley, he was cut off because of the water getting into the screens. So once Ed was safe again, he'll have to find a kiosk.

To summarize, Rambley guides Ed to Oceanic Odyssey only to have been a trap and the goal is to escape. They also discover more secrets and clues as to what could of happened that got the park to close down.

Also, while I was watching people's theories, something came to my mind, and that is how will Indigo Park end?

And if Salem was the reason why the park shut down and the final villain, it's going to be a brutal death. Their name, Salem, refers to the Salem witch trials that took place in 16th century where people were accused of witchcraft and sentenced to death.

There may be different kinds of ending.

The bad ending where whoever this final villain may be (not Rambley) managed to win and get away with it.

The good ending, well more like it would a disney happy ending as it is inspired by Disneyland like Uniquegeese said in his streams.

And finally, the true ending. The park gets fixed... but at what cost?

Wel,l just have to wait for chapter 2.

Oh! Also, Uniquegeese did say on their twitter. That they'll add more references in the game. Like the sodas in the soda machines can give the player a boost, the critter cuff upgrade, and more.

I would like to see another arcade game, giving a clue as to what happened with the others. Since the next chapter is going to be about Finley, how he was once a shy character only to turned evil by Salem's potion.

Other Thoughts:

The creator, Uniquegeese, said that Lloyd will be an important character to the story and I can't wait to see how the lore would go. Me personally love Lloyd because he reminds me of Glamrock Freddy. But also, part of me wishing Lloyd having more plot armor as he may end up like Dogday from Poppy Playtime.

Salem not only being the villain of the group, they may of be the hero for the living mascot. Encouraging them to fight back.

Or was another AI like Rambley but more of a security AI who gain self aware and started spreading viruses to the mascots and the whole park to close down.

Rambley isn't going to turn into a twisted villain. Uniquegeese have already stated, "he has the mind of a child." Many assume to be true, but there is more evidence that people pointed out:

The tone of his voice just doesn't seem evil. He just wants the park to run again like the old times.

Another theory I like to share and someone please tell of who came up with it as I don't remember which video is called. The theory is about how there are more than one mascot's of the group. The Mollie that was stalking the player was slightly different than the OG Mollie which lead to believing there are multiple living mascots roaming around the park.

I believe this one because not only that, the VA of Mollie Macaw has been hanging out frequently with Uniquegeese. So maybe will see other Mollie's and Lloyd's, but what about Finley's?

I would say it's just one Finley mascot because of the Leviathan thing. And it wouldn't make sense unless Oceanic Odyssey is very big.

With how much damage the park is, it would make sense how multiple living mascots did it. The other question is that do they need to eat?

With Mollie's head decapitated, revealing blood and guts. I wonder if the mascots needed to eat, although the foods at the cafe already expire and possibly the drinks too.

That's all I came up with. I might write another theory that will talk about Lloyd.

WaleSea is probably a bit more of a side relationship, but still a very important one. Plus the adorable name! 🐳🌊 Dylan helps to regulate Peter by tending to some needs that Arthur sometimes doesn't have the time for, and Peter gives Dylan nostalgia in the best of ways.

You'd think that sharing Arthur with each other could lead to friction -- since they're both obsessed over him for different reasons. For Dylan, it's jealousy and a complex to make sure he's the best brother. For Peter, his self-worth is tied to Arthur's love, so he craves his favoritism. But once Peter and Dylan get to know one another, it isn't really an issue; because they adore each other. 🥺🫶

Peter needs the ocean. When at the UK house, it's a big adjustment to live inland. Swimming is not just an outlet for his extra energy, but being connected to the water helps him with emotional regulation -- which he already struggles with from cptsd. When he's away from water too long, he has mood swings, is constantly stressed-out, and prone to crying -- all his symptoms are just 10x worse. He needs to see the shore at least twice a week. Ever-possessive, Arthur doesn't like him going to the beach alone, but he can't just drop everything to accompany him as much as he needs. But Dylan? He has the time.

Beach trips. Doesn't matter which ocean, so Dylan takes him to see the Celtic sea for the first time. And shows him his land on the way! All his castles, and sharing folklore. Peter is all about it. Asking questions, stars in his eyes. Completely fascinated. It reminds Dylan of young Arthur being interested in his magic -- and that's amplified because Peter sure looks a hell of a lot like Arthur. And eventually, Peter does take a keen interest in his magic as well, though he's a bit too skittish to actually try it himself.

Peter might have been built primarily for Arthur, but to a lesser extent, his affection and protective instincts are for all of Britain. So he takes a liking to Dylan very quickly, and is always trying to dote on him, instinctively trying to "serve" him. . . Dylan. The mom. They try to out-mom each other. It is a feedback loop of fluff and making sure each other is well taken care of.

Because Peter:

1. Has been so isolated his entire life that genuine human connection means 10x more to him than what should be normal

2. Has affectionate instincts toward Dylan to begin with

He develops a crush on him in only a couple weeks. Dylan finds him adorable and fun to spend time with, so why not go for it?

Being possessive over his things, Arthur is hesitant. But it's Dylan. He can loan out his property little brother to him, right? It's fine, so long as they acknowledge that he belongs first and foremost to Arthur.

Do their outings count as dates, now? Sure, why not? Dylan is the most put-together older brother and has tons of wisdom, and he's less harsh than Arthur, so Peter feels he can ask for advice a more freely with him. Which he needs a lot of, because he is still so young, but has trauma on-par with nations that are much, much older than him. Peter needs a ton of guidance and support. And Dylan can do it.

Nsfw dynamics go brrr because I feel like they'd both be switches. Plus Peter learning all the ✨interesting✨uses for potions that Dylan has developed over the years. And threesomes with Arthur.

The sky really is the limit with these two. So many wholesome and unwholesome possibilities.

Overall, they're just big positives in each other's lives. But not quite co-dependent to the point they would crumble without each other, thus why I class it as a tier 2 bond in the polycule, but still hella fucking important for one another. 💕

TGIWednesday: Where are the Aleutian Islands?

TGIWednesday News 📰

In what seems like a lifetime ago my father, (think of Hemingway or Roosevelt type of adventurer) dragged my brother and I across the country to go hunt emperor geese and black brandt in the Bering Sea near Alaska 🏔️. That almost sounds like a parable! In the middle of a cold nowhere ❄️ we rode on large 4-wheelers resembling golf carts, the guide looked down to a small pond where he spotted ducks 🦆 and geese  sitting on the water. He stopped immediately and we all quietly got our guns and slowly descended down steep embankments.  The last 25 yards or so we crawled while hearing both the ducks and the geese squawking and upon the guide saying, "get em!" we stood up and unloaded our guns on these poor ducks and geese! But they never flew off and just sat there in the water like decoys. Suddenly two men stood up from their duck blind and started screaming at us 🤬. I could see that one of the men had water splashed on his glasses from the shotgun blasts that hit the decoys and the water just in front of him. As luck would have it one was a city councilman, the other was the local game warden. 🍀 Lucky to get a good talking to instead of being arrested about sums it up!  After that event, the Aleutian Islands could be called the "Illusion Islands" 😂!   Remember, especially during an election year, not everything you see or hear is God's honest truth! Traveling nowadays is not cheap and for those that love it and the only holdback is funding your plans you may want to pick up our latest Audio MP3.

TGIWednesday: Where are the Aleutian Islands?

In what seems like a lifetime ago my father, (think of Hemingway or Roosevelt type of adventurer) dragged my brother and I across the country to go hunt emperor geese and black brandt in the Bering Sea near Alaska 🏔️. That almost sounds like a parable! In the middle of a cold nowhere ❄️ we rode on large 4-wheelers resembling golf carts, the guide looked down to a small pond where he spotted ducks 🦆 and geese  sitting on the water. He stopped immediately and we all quietly got our guns and slowly descended down steep embankments.  The last 25 yards or so we crawled while hearing both the ducks and the geese squawking and upon the guide saying, "get em!" we stood up and unloaded our guns on these poor ducks and geese! But they never flew off and just sat there in the water like decoys. Suddenly two men stood up from their duck blind and started screaming at us 🤬. I could see that one of the men had water splashed on his glasses from the shotgun blasts that hit the decoys and the water just in front of him. As luck would have it one was a city councilman, the other was the local game warden. 🍀 Lucky to get a good talking to instead of being arrested about sums it up!  After that event, the Aleutian Islands could be called the "Illusion Islands" 😂!   Remember, especially during an election year, not everything you see or hear is God's honest truth! Traveling nowadays is not cheap and for those that love it and the only holdback is funding your plans you may want to pick up our latest Audio MP3.

🌊 Six months from now 🌊

"Idrina!"

His head comes out of the water right before she reaches the shore.

"Idrina, wait!"

"Father? Did you follow me all the way?"

"I couldn't stop you. I know I can't stop you from leaving, Rin. But I need to know you'll be okay. It's going to be night time soon, you'll have to find somewhere to spend the night."

"I can take care of myself father. You know that. And twilight is the best time to come out of the water. It'll be easier for me to sneak around after dark. You've taught me that, remember? When we were actually a family."

"You don't have to leave Rin..."

"What's the alternative? Letting you bind me to whomever you want? Letting her use me as a pawn? You know I cannot live like this!" she sounds hesitant, she's not used to using her voice this much. Her head is down. But she won't let him bring her back.

"Where are you going to go? What are you going to do?"

"You already know the answer father. I'm going to find my sister."

"Rin..."

"Don't. I know she's out there somewhere."

"This is why we're here? Because this is where you last saw her? She doesn't live here anymore!"

"How would you know that? Visited her mother recently?"

He doesn't give her an answer, just a glaring look telling her what he thinks of that suggestion.

"Rin. If you're set on going, can you at least do me a favour?" His tone is more serious now, as if he has been waiting for the opportunity to say this.

"What is it?"

"I need you to..." he pauses, unsure.

"You need to make sure she follows the same rule you do."

"What?"

"She can't. Just like you can't. If she does, it'll..."

"Stop! Are you serious right now? What if I don't find her? What if it's too late? Are you telling me she isn't aware?! What game are you playing?!" her voice carries, a few birds fly away.

"You know I wasn't ever allowed to leave the court. How could I warn her?"

"You are a poor excuse for a father. At least your other offsprings got a better version of you. At least, they've not got a curse hovering over them because of you. I'll do my best to find her. But if, for any reason, I can't prevent it from happening, this is on you."

"And don't expect to hear from any of us ever again. Goodbye father."

He doesn't try to stop her as she swims past him, towards the small beach.

"Poseidon bless your true heart, Idrina..." he whispers as she leaves him behind.

He gives her one last look. Then, as she reaches the ground, he throws himself backwards and returns to the depths they came from. It takes her a while to transform. She hasn't done this in over 6 years… Once mostly human, she tests out her voice in this body.

"Wait for me Isidora, I'm coming to find you."
